samanthas on now. here's my poem:

What do you eat for breakfast?

Bacon and eggs, I suppose-

or just plain cereal, milk and fruit?

Or buttery cinnamon toast-?

Or do you eat cream cheese bagels....

or butter bagels, too?

Or, like me soon, eat honey nut Cheerios.....

fiber cereal....... I dunno-

just plain cereal suits me fine.

Or do you eat breakfast sandwiches?

Tell me what you eat!

I hope you like my poem! Here's Amy Cruise's (she's a rock star in Emma A. Boarding School, aka here) 's poem:

Midnight roses, sparkly and black,
sharp and sweet,
are not fine to eat.
They're rosy and colorless,
but we don't flee
them.
Why not?
Because they are a harmless,
rare beauty.
Leave them sparkling up in the navy blue night sky
and they will be fine.
The petal-less beauties in the sky will stay there forever and ever.

Don't you think that sounds beautiful? Anyways, here's a quote and a poem by Jill R. Woodsweet, Emma's mom:

"Roses may grow and roses may die, but the beauty of a rose lasts forever."
-Jill R. Woodsweet

and the poem:

Here, here in a row of prim lanes,
the perfect tall, gender-less roses
lie ahead.
A girl, ten years old, to be exact-
creeps in Sally's Lane Garden......
and picks a lovely, small rose.
'Don't flee me!' the rose cries.
But the rose dies, sadly leaving the girl nothing.
The lovely, dear heart of the beautiful rose still lies in the garden today.
But death is something you cannot see.
You shalln't see the rose, but the heart lies there forever.

GTG,

~Samantha
